The Art of Taking Action

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

As creative beings it is of natural course that ideas, dreams and desires will make themselves known to us and move through us. Sometimes certain inspirations feel as if they come directly from the core of our being, like they are trying to come alive through us and MUST become realized.

In the highest and most evolved state of consciousness, there is no impediment to the creative energy of a human being. Those of us aspiring to connect to our highest and most realized self through self reflection and the transformative technology of yoga and meditation, come to understand that our programming, false belief systems, judgments, misunderstandings, and limited perspective often prevents, or challenges us from actualizing the longings of our creative center. In order to fully express ourselves as evolving human beings, we must find ways to consciously release and overcome these impediments.

We often wrongly believe we are not worthy, we are not capable. We are afraid to be judged by others and afraid to extend ourselves into the unknown to grow into a more fully embodied version of ourselves. Complacency becomes comfortable and excuses become exponential.

When self awareness grows, as it often does with a consistent yoga and meditation practice, we find we can’t hide under the blanket of our self- deceptions as easily as we used to. Sooner, or later the realization comes to the forefront of our awareness: “I am my biggest problem”. The procrastination, the excuses, the over-thinking, the convenient distractions. We realize we have to start getting out of our own way in order to move forward, take action and facilitate change. This is accountability.

The first thing is awareness and the second thing is action…but what type of action? In some cases CONTRARY ACTION is necessary. Do differently than you have been doing before, if what you have been doing hasn’t been working for you. MINDFUL ACTION allows us to employ the witness to oversee the tendencies of the less conscious, auto-piloting, egoic self. PAUSING BEFORE ACTION can be a nice reprieve if one tends to be compulsive in their approach, often causing more problems than they started with due to lack of discipline and foresight.

If it is the case that you have inspirations, desires, dreams and goals that you’d like to take action on, the beginning of the new year is a perfect time to make this happen and make it happen in a way that will be impactful, transformative and sustainable.

If this approach to action resonates with you, I invite you to consider joining me on one, some, or all of these upcoming adventures:

  1. My next 40 Day Meditation Journey starts this week. On this journey we will be working with a powerful meditation called Kirtan Kriya that has proven results through multiple scientific studies to impart transformative change on the brain, the nervous system, the subconscious mind and emotional state. This is a perfect way to remap/rewire and rework some outdated tendencies and implement a new upgraded software to your personal operating system.

  2. In February, I will be opening up my next series of Purpose Pod Small Group Coaching sessions to cultivate a mindful action based approach to some of the inspirations that may be endeavoring themselves to be realized through you. This is an efficient and affordable way to receive active guidance on your road to action.

  3. Try out a Yoga Club Membership to practice yoga online with me and the wonderful Yoga Club Community on a weekly basis to cultivate a regular schedule of personal discipline, exercise and spiritual connection.

If any or all of this appeals, learn more below and feel free to reach out anytime with questions!
